The 1771-OFE2 analog output module is a hardware component whose main role is to convert a digital signal to an analog signal and output an adjustable continuous voltage, current, and signal. It is commonly used to control current or voltage type control devices, such as motors, sensors, actuators, etc.

 

 

The main functions of the 1771-OFE2 analog output module include:

Drive hardware output and related data path, select the current set value according to the operation mode.

Reverse and provide results to hardware output or software output as needed.

The module can be set to the automatic mode of CAS_IN and RCAS_IN. SP outputs the set value after selecting CASIN, SPLOCAL (local setting) and RCASIN and feedback values by the SPSELECTOR.

In order to avoid drastic changes in the set value SP, a rate limiter would be set to limit the rate of SP, and then a clamper would limit the absolute value of SP, and then a characterization compensator would be made according to special functions.
