The IC670MDL740J is a positive logic discrete output module manufactured by GE Fanuc. This module is a universal output module that is installed on the Bus Interface Unit (BIU) to implement an extended I/O solution. It is commonly used to energize indicator lights, relay coils, solenoid drive devices, and output devices with similar current ratings, because the IC670MDL740 operates at nominal voltages in the voltage output range of 10-30 VDC and 24 VDC. Each channel provides 0.5 amps of output current and a total of 4 amps of output current per module.
The IC670MDL740J is designed with a separate status LED indicator indicating the on/off status of each output channel of the module. A common fuse is installed throughout the I/O group, which is also assigned an LED indicator to describe the blown fuse status. The module generates an inrush current rated at 2 amps with a maximum duration of 100 ms. The minimum load current of the output channel is 1 mA per point, the output voltage drop is 0.5 V, the output leakage current is 0.5 mA (30 VDC), and the typical response time of the on and off signal conversion.
