The FBM214 P0922VT communication input interface module contains eight isolated analog input channels in groups 4 to 20mA. The FBM214 supports any combination of standard 4 to 20 mA devices and HART devices.
The FBM214 serves as a HART communication field device host, enabling VA series systems to request and receive two digital messages per second from field devices. Messaging capabilities can be used to support HART universality. Common practice, and device-specific commands, but not in burst communication mode.
The FBM214 P0922VT provides a common isolated power supply that powers all eight channels. Optionally, the channel can be powered by an external power source. However, when a common external power supply is used for two or more channels, a cable Barron module is required to prevent channel crosstalk.

For high precision, the module employs a Sigma Delta converter that can provide new analog input values for each channel, every 100 milliseconds.
