Capacitive sensor measuring material level working principle
Capacitive level switch (material level sensor) is a kind of universal level switch. When the sensor is installed on the bin body, the probe pole and the bin wall are equivalent to two plates of the capacitor respectively. Because the dielectric constant of the measured material is different from the air, the capacitance between the probe and the bin wall will change when the level in the bin changes. When the capacitance is greater than the user’s set value, the relay in the limit switch will operate and output a switching quantity to achieve the purpose of control (or alarm).
The principle and structural characteristics of capacitive level switch make it can replace any kind of basic level switch, and it is widely used in building materials, petroleum, chemical, light industry, metallurgy and other industries in the upper and lower alarm and control of material level and liquid level.
The working principle is to detect the capacity according to the dielectric constant.
In fact, there are two common ways
1, the use of multiple capacitive proximity switches for high and low point detection, when the material rises to the capacitance detection surface
When the capacitor sensor outputs a switching signal.
2, the use of straight-insert, this level meter generally has a very long stainless steel rod, inserted into the container,
When the material level slowly rises or falls, the capacitance changes, and the capacitance sensor can output the analog model,
When the set upper limit or lower limit is reached, the output alarm signal, this sensor can
Location is detected in real time.
