The S800 input/Output Module The I/O module has an open ventilated plastic housing. In all I/O front-end modules there are at least three leds (failure, running, and warning) indicating module status. In addition, in a fully operational I/O station, the I/O module can be replaced. Mechanical keying on modules and MTU prevent I/O modules from entering the following locations where they can be damaged by too high a voltage or current. Electronic typing The identification ID in each module prevents input/output modules from being brought in. If the module ID does not match the configured one, the module type is defined by the ModuleBus host. There are single module and redundant module applications.
