Description

These accelerometers are used in critical mechanical applications that require casing acceleration measurement, such as gear mesh monitoring. The 330400 is designed to meet the requirements of the American Petroleum Institute’s accelerometer Standard 670. it

Provides 50g peak amplitude range and 500mv /g sensitivity. The 330425 is identical except that it offers a much larger amplitude range (75g peak) and a sensitivity of 25mv /g.

Most common machine failures (unbalanced, not moderate) occur in the rotor and stem from an increase (or at least a change) in rotor vibration. For any single casing measurement to effectively protect the whole machine, the system must constantly transmit a large amount of rotor vibration to the motor housing, or sensor mounting location.

In addition, 330400-02-CN should take care to install the accelerometer sensor on the bearing seat or the machine housing. Improper installation may reduce the amplitude and frequency response of the transducer and/or produce false signals that do not represent the actual vibration. Please refer to the corresponding instruction manual and instructions for use.
