Functional Description

138607-01 is a Transient Data Interface Module developed by Bently Nevada. It belongs to the 3500 series of components. The Transient Data Interface (TDI) connects the 3500 monitoring system to GE’s System 1 machinery management software. The TDI combines the capabilities of a 3500/20 RIM with the data collection capabilities of a communication processor such as TDXnet.

The TDI supports two modes: RUN and PROGRAM. In RUN mode, the rack operates normally but prevents configuration changes. In PROGRAM mode, the rack allows normal operation as well as local or remote configuration. The key can be removed from the rack in either mode, allowing the switch to remain in RUN or PROGRAM. When the switch is locked in the RUN position, it prevents unauthorized rack reconfiguration. Conversely, when locked in the PROGRAM position, a rack can be remotely reconfigured at any time.
