The GE/Bently Nevada 3500/72M 140734-08 series pole position monitors are 4-channel monitors that receive input from proximity sensors, adjust signals for a variety of dynamic and static position measurements, and compare the adjustment signals with user-programmable alarms. The 3500 rack configuration software can be programmed for each channel of the 3500/72M to perform any of the following functions: rod position measurement, rod drop measurement, supercompressor measurement.

The main purpose of the 3500/72M 140734-08 monitor is to provide mechanical protection for reciprocating compressors by continuously comparing monitoring parameters with configured alarm set points to drive alarms. The monitor also provides basic reciprocating compressor information for operators and maintenance personnel.
