A unique feature of the 369 motor protection system is its ability to calculate the I2t value of the motor based on the actual load current of the motor. The thermal model calculates this value based on the heat capacity used by the motor. The RTD is able to measure the temperature of the stator as a thermal capacity check to confirm that the values calculated by the thermal model are correct. Starting and running The motor can be protected by protection devices during acceleration and running. The protection gives an alarm or trip command based on acceleration time, number of starts per hour, start time intervals or motor overload conditions.

Fast trip/mechanical failure
The rapid stop of the 369-H1-R-M-F-E-H-Emotor reduces damage to gears, bearings and other mechanical parts associated with the motor drive mechanism. The surge current can cause the relay used for the fast trip/mechanical failure function to be activated. The user can set the action value, trip delay time and early warning alarm.
Optional stator winding overtemperature protection enables monitoring of up to 12 stator RTDS. If fewer than six RTDS are used for stator monitoring, the remaining RTDS can be used for any other temperature monitoring function. Users can set separate RTD alarm, high alarm, and trip values.
Temperature monitoring (select R)
369-H1-R-M-F-E-H-E The protection device is equipped with 10 RTD inputs, of which RTD inputs not used for stator RTD protection can be used for other temperature monitoring functions. Individual alarm and trip temperature values can be selected for each RTD. In addition, for the 369 motor protection system, there is an option to use a remote RRTD module for remote temperature monitoring

Reverse detection (Option B)
The BSD option is used to detect the reverse rotation of the pump motor when the check valve is not working or is not present. Once the pump stops rotating, the BSD will allow the pump to safely restart, thus reducing downtime and preventing motor damage.
