Description

The customized RET670 gives you the freedom to choose features entirely according to your needs. The pre-configured RET670 model simplifies work because the basic features are included and pre-configured. If desired, you can add optional features to increase the functionality of the pre-configured RET670 IED to meet the specific requirements of a transformer or shunt reactor.

The RET670 1MRK004816-AC features extremely fast differential protection with automatic CT ratio matching and vector group compensation, making it the ideal solution for the most demanding applications. In addition, a RET670 IED can be expanded to include two differential protection features to protect the most advanced system configurations. The transformer protection IED is designed to operate correctly over a wide frequency range to accommodate interference and frequency changes in the power system during generator start-up and shutdown. It has very low requirements for primary CT and does not require CT insertion.

The RET670 1MRK004816-AC also has multiple features for local and remote device control on all sides of the transformer. Secure compartments and station cascade interlocks allow you to avoid dangerous or destructive switchgear work and ensure personnel safety.
