Function description:

The DS200FCGDH1B is a gate distribution and status card manufactured and designed by General Electric as part of the Mark VI series used in GE Speedtronic control systems. The interface board for a 6-pulse phase control, irreversible bridge is called the Gate Allocation and Status Card (FCGD). Through the VME backplane, it transmits feedback and diagnostic data after receiving SCR trigger data from the DS200DSPC (DSPC, VME processor) chip. FCGD receives multiplexed cell status signals from each bridge arm and decodes and decapsulates the cell gated signals of each bridge arm. In addition, it receives the bridge feedback signal, scales it, and then transmits voltage, frequency, and current status data back to the DSPC board.


The DS200FCGDH1B is a Gate Allocation and Status card (FCGD). The card was developed by GE for its Mark V board family and can be installed in many GE branded drives. When installed, the card acts as an interface system for six-pulse phase control of the non-reverse bridge. The DSPC (Digital Signal Processing Card) relays information to this board for decryption. This generates signals about diagnostic information and system feedback. This feedback is then sent out using the drive’s integrated VME backplane. This DS200FCGDH1B product collects a large amount of data from the drive’s integrated DSPC. The signal received by the board is converted into a unit gated signal. All system pins receive this cell gated signal and return multiplexed cell status information to the card. The FCGD board also receives and scales feedback signals. The three FGPA boards send feedback signals through optical fiber connections on the boards. Included feedback includes frequency, voltage, and board status information. Integrated IMOK LED status indicators provide users with basic system status.
