IS220UCSAH1AK is a Communications Bridge I/O package. Unlike most I/O Packs, this component has no associated terminal board. However, the JPDV board is its associated interface PCB. I/O packages are mounted on their associated boards to perform additional processes, such as algorithmic computation and digitization of sensor signals. This allows the algorithm to run at a faster speed. This component also communicates with the controller board within the main processor. I/O has its own processor board inside its housing. The processor runs on a QNX operating system with a 32-bit RISC CPU of 266 MHz. The IS220UCSAH1AK has two built-in 100 MB Ethernet ports. The case also has a power port. The unit is rated at 28 V DC (typical). There is also an onboard ambient temperature sensor that will sound an alarm if the temperature is found to be too high.
