Product description
The IS220PAICH1B model is manufactured by General Electric and is an analog input/output package for the Mark VI series. This model is the second version of the PAIC unit with a different minimum voltage compared to the previous version of the PAIC unit. The minimum voltage for this particular device is 22 volts of semi-direct current. The nominal power supply used in this model is 24 or 28 volts DC.
Although the IS220PAICH1B package is used in the Mark VI series, it can be used with certain accessories (also known as terminal boards); The patch boards used with this particular analog I/O package are all IS200 boards and are IS200TBAIH1C, IS200TAIH1A, and IS200TAIH2A. The IS200TBAIH1C model is a barrier junction box that requires a minimum wire size of 22 AWG when connected and used with the IS220PAICH1B group.
Specific alarms appear when using this model, one of which is labeled 82-83, which focuses on the output and indicates that the suicide relay inside the IS220PAICH1B package is not working. The possible cause of this alarm is usually a mismatch between the suicide relay command in the package and the relevant feedback, a hardware failure, or a relay failure on the acquisition board. The main solution to this problem is to replace the I/O package itself.
The IS220PAICH1B package can be used in many different sites, both hazardous and non-hazardous sites, and is certified as UL E207685 according to the non-hazardous site for this model.
