The IS420UCSBH1Ais a UCSB controller module developed by GE. UCSB controllers are standalone computers that execute application-specific control system logic. Unlike traditional controllers, UCSB controllers do not carry any application I/O. In addition, all I/O networks are connected to each controller, providing it with all input data. If the controller goes out of power for maintenance or repair, the hardware and software architecture ensures that no application input points are lost.

About IS420UCSBH1A
The IS420UCSBH1A controller is the first UCSB controller manufactured by GE as part of the Mark VIe family of Control Safety Systems. The controller is similar to the UCSC controller, although it does not have the same hardware, but the software required to act as the controller is almost the same. According to GEH-6725 Mark VIe and Mark VIeS, HazLoc Usage Guidelines for Control Devices, IS420UCSBH1Acontrollers are labeled Mark VIe, LS2100e, and EX2100e controllers. The controller also has a specific microprocessor, the microprocessor installed in the device is a 600 MHz EP80579 Intel processor.

On page 22 of the GEH-6725 Usage Guide, there is a small table indicating the electrical/power ratings required to power the IS420UCSBH1A. The ratings are as follows, with a minimum voltage of 18 DC, a maximum of 30 VDC, and a nominal power rating of 24 and 28 VDC. The device uses a maximum rated current of 1.5 ADC.
