NI PXI-6527 is a 48-bit parallel isolated digital I/ O interface module. It has 24 digital inputs and 24 digital switch outputs and is completely jumper free. The device can sense digital levels up to 28 V
DC and switching currents up to 120 mA.
The PXI-6527s’ interchannel isolation of inputs and outputs reduces noise, protects the system, and disconnects the ground loop.
National Instruments PXI-6527 Digital I/ O module
The NI PXI-6527 (Part number: 777802-01) is a 48-bit isolated digital I/ O module. The module offers 24 solid-state relay digital outputs and 24 optically isolated digital inputs. With this model, users can switch currents up to 120 mA and sense digital levels to 28 VDC. The PXI-6527 runs on Windows 2000/ NT/ XP and is fully compatible with various software programs, including LabVIEW, Lab Windows/ CVI, and Measurement Studio. The device is a parallel DIO interface with isolated I/O between channels to reduce noise, protect user systems, and disconnect ground loops.
The NI PXI-6527 tends to read external logic conditions for both TTL and non-TTL levels. Each of its 24 input channels has a pair of differential isolation terminals for the signal and its reference. It has a maximum input current of 1.5mA (per channel) at 5 V and 8 mA (per channel) at 24 V. PXI-6527 The potential difference between the two terminals within 2 VDC to 28 VDC is recorded as a logical high level. On the other hand, the module considers low logic levels between 0 V and 1 V. The module’s input provides 60 VDC isolation between the PC and the channel.
The digital I/O module can generate messages for one or more user-selected input line changes, from high to low, low to high, or both. Once the state changes are known, the NI-DAQ can read the state of other input lines, perform other user programming operations, or set the output. The NI PXI-6527’s 24 solid relay outputs can switch external devices with devices that require TTL control digital logic levels, as well as non-TTL levels and high input currents. The unit is equipped with a 100-pin keyed female cable connector. Its maximum power requirement at +5 VDC is 500 mA. The NI device is 6.3 x 3.9 inches. In the physical dimension. The PXI-6527 has a recommended operating temperature range of 0 to 50 °C and a storage temperature range of -20 to 70 °C.PXI-6527
