The transmission rate of each slot in the chassis varies. Below is a description of the different connections and Bridges available for the PXIe-1065

The PXIe-1065 PXI Express slot connects directly to the controller slot via the specified x4 link and provides up to 1GB/s bandwidth per slot (slots 7 and 8). Due to overhead, chip optimization, etc., these slots can actually provide about 800 MB/s uplink (input board to perform write memory operations) bandwidth and 400 MB/s downlink bandwidth.

The PXIe-1065 has two separate PCI bus segments that provide enhanced PCI throughput (twice that of the other 18-slot chassis in comparison). PCI Bus Segment 1 is a low-latency PCI bus: PCI Express connects directly to the controller slot via the PCI bridge.

The PXI Express slot uses an x4 link by connecting to the PCI Express Switch, providing up to 1 GB/s of bandwidth. Again, users can actually get a total bandwidth of about 800 MB/s upstream and 400 MB/s downstream for these slots. For example, six input boards with 9 to 14 slots can simultaneously reach a bandwidth of about 133 MB/s each.
