National Instruments SCXI-1193 RF multiplexer switch module
The NI SCXI-1193 (Part number: 776572-93) is a high-density, 32-channel RF multiplexer switch module that can be arranged as an unterminated multiplexer, an externally terminated multiplexer, or a multi-size, multi-size thin thinning matrix. Each configuration can withstand signal frequencies from DC to over 500 MHz. The module has a slot and utilizes high-density push-in MCX connectors for discrete but manageable wiring. The module cannot direct the signal to the high voltage analog bus. The SCXI-1193 can be integrated with high-frequency devices, including the PXI-5404 inverter and the PXI-5112 high-speed digitizer.
The SCXI 1193 can implement the following topologies: four-way 8 x 1 multiplexer, four-way 4 x 1 terminated multiplexer, dual-way 16 x 1 multiplexer, dual-way 8 x 1 terminated multiplexer, 32 x 1 multiplexer, 16 x 1 terminated multiplexer, and standalone modules. The RF multiplexer switch module can be used with a variety of different cables. These cables include: MCX-MCX cable, MCX-BNC cable, MCX-SMB cable, or MCX-SMA cable. Each of these cables can be purchased in either 0.3m or 1.0m lengths. There is also a 50 ohm MCX terminator available. When the 50 ohm MCX terminator is located on half of the 32 channels, the user can use the module as an end multiplexer. The DC power requirements for this device are +5 VDC (50 mA), +18.5 VDC to +25 VDC (170 mA), and -18.5 VDC to -25 VDC (170 mA). The NI SCXI-1193 module has 36 MCX jacks for I/ O connectors, 2 SMB jacks for triggering connectors, relays made of silver palladium and gold, and a maximum scan rate of 100 operations per second. The device has an electromechanical latching relay type. The NI device weighs 2 ounces and measures 1.2 x 6.8 x 7.8 inches. In the physical dimension. It has a recommended operating temperature range of 0 °C to 50 °C, a storage temperature range of -20 °C to 70 °C, and a non-condensing humidity range of 5% to 85%.
