Details:

XVME-212 is a 32-channel optical isolated digital input interface designed to be compatible with VMEbus architecture. The XVME-212 is capable of receiving inputs at 32 digital frequencies up to 3.4 KHz. To ensure signal integrity, the design includes the integration of “switches” to de-jitter, channel inputs from the system bus structure. In addition, the onboard scanner can be programmed to generate VMEbus interrupts when any input changes state, so there is no need to poll the input modules. Each digital input has reverse voltage protection and is capable of handling reverse bias at a maximum voltage of 50V DC (XVME-212/L) or 6.5V DC (XVme-212/2).

In addition, the board can be a jumper to occupy any 1K block within the short I/O address space. XVME-212 is available in the following two versions: XVME-212/l – XVME-212/l version with onboard 12V DC, isolated power supply. The 12V power supply comes out of the factory connected to the input of each channel, so the system can monitor 12V relay contacts and switching power supplies without external monitoring. Voltages other than 12V can be applied to the input (in the l0V-50V input range); However, some modifications to the circuit board are required (i.e., cutting the well-recognized and easily accessible PC trace to the 12V onboard power supply).

The XVME-212 version /2 is very similar to the /I version except that it is suitable for the allowed input voltage range and there is no on-board +12V DC power supply. The XVME-212/2 has TTL level input with a maximum input of 6.5V. In addition, the +12V isolated onboard power supply is not available, replace it with the existing +5V power supply of the jumper VME backplane. 1.2 Manual Architecture Chapter 1 provides an overview of the features of XVME-212 and describes the functionality of the Xycom standard I/O architecture.
