Description
The IC693MDL740 is a GE Fanuc 90-30 series Programmable Logic controller (PLC) module. The module is a positive logic output module, specifically, providing current from the module common or positive power bus to the connected load. It has two (2) groups of eight (8) channels each with a rated load of 0.5 amps per channel.
The IC693MDL740 has a front panel LED indicator located at the top of the module. These leds represent the driving status of each channel of the module and the operating status of the module respectively. As a source output module, each channel of the module is capable of powering common electrical loads such as contactors, relays, indicators, buzzers, horns, and other D24 VDC powered devices. The module does not come with an internal fuse, so an external fuse can be installed to further protect the module. The IC693MDL740 can be installed in any available slot on a 5-slot or 10-slot 90-30 series baseboard. As long as the controller has enough memory to accommodate this 16-point output module, the number of module instances changes.
The IC693MDL740 is rated at 12/24 volts DC and operates in a voltage range of 12 to 24 volts DC (+20%, -15%). The module’s output features include 4.78 amp surge current for 10 ms, maximum output voltage drop of 1 VDC, OFF state leakage current of 1 mA, on response time of 2 ms, maximum and off response time of 2 ms, maximum. The power consumption of the module is 110 mA (with all outputs turned on) from the 5-volt bus on the backplane.
The IC693MDL740 module is a 12 to 24 volt DC rated positive logic output module. There are 16 output points, divided into 2 groups of 8 each, each group has a common power output terminal. The IC693MDL740 module has positive logic characteristics and can be used as a current source for the user’s common and positive power bus loads. The output device is connected between the negative power bus and the module output. The IC693MDL740 module is compatible with a wide range of load devices, including solenids and motor starters. The output voltage range of the module is 12 to 24 volts DC. The maximum output current is 0.5 amps per module point and 2 amps per common point. The corresponding maximum on/off response time is 2 milliseconds. The rated surge current for a duration of 10 milliseconds is 4.78 amps.
