The PCI-6601 can perform a variety of buffer measurements or other counter/timer tasks, including: event counting; Menstrual measurement; Position or orthogonal encoder measurement; Frequency measurement; Pulse width measurement; Pulse generation; And PulseTrain generation.

The PCI-6601 board features four 32-bit counter channels and up to 32 lines of individually configurable TTL/ CMOS-compatible digital I/O. One DMA based high-speed transfer can be performed on the PCI-6601.

5 V, 4 channel counter/timer device – PCI‑6601 performs encoder position measurement, event counting, period measurement, pulse width measurement, pulse generation, pulse train generation, and frequency measurement. The module features four counters/timers, a digital dejitter filter, and TTL/CMOS compatible digital I/O. PCI‑6601 performs a high-speed DMA transfer.
