This section describes the ZMC408CE hardware
ZMC408CE is a multi-axis high-performance EtherCAT bus motion controller, with EtherCAT, EtherNET, RS232, CAN and U disk communication interfaces, ZMC series motion controllers can be applied to a variety of offline or online operation occasions.
ZMC408CE supports 8 axis motion control, up to 32 axis can be extended to support linear interpolation, arbitrary arc interpolation, space arc, spiral interpolation, electronic CAM, electronic gear, synchronous following and other functions.
ZMC408CE supports three programming modes: PLC, Basic and HMI. PC host API programming support C#, C++, LabVIEW, Matlab, Qt, Linux, VB.Net, Python and other interfaces.
ZMC408CE supports 8-axis motion control, can use pulse shaft (with encoder feedback) or EtherCAT bus shaft, universal IO contains 24 input and 16 output, some IO is high-speed IO, analog AD/DA two ways each, EtherCAT the fastest refresh cycle 125us.
ZMC408CE supports 8 channels of hardware comparison output, hardware timer, accurate output in motion, also supports 8 channels of PWM output, the corresponding output is OUT0-7, support 8 channels simultaneously trigger hardware comparison output.
01 ZMIO310 Series expansion module
ZMIO310 series expansion module is a vertical bus expansion module, which CAN support EtherCAT and CAN two bus modes to expand digital IO, analog AD and DA.
When the IO, AD and DA resources of the controller body are insufficient, the coupler module (ECAT, CAN communication module) can be combined with other expansion submodules to expand. The submodule consists of digital input port DI, digital output port DO, analog input port AD, and analog output port DA.
The ZMIO310-CAN communication module can be expanded up to 16 sub-modules (supporting hybrid expansion), in which the maximum number of DI, DO, AD and DA sub-modules can be expanded are 6, 6, 3 and 3 respectively. The actual quantity is also limited according to the power consumption of each module. For example, after six DO’s, six DI’s, and three AD’s are expanded, only one DA can be expanded.
