VMIVME-3413 Do you know how to measure motor resistance using a DC resistance tester?

During the maintenance and overhaul of the motor, the accurate measurement of the resistance value of the motor is the key step to ensure the normal operation of the motor and prevent the fault. In order to achieve the accuracy of the motor resistance measurement, the DC resistance tester is the preferred tool because of its high precision and high efficiency. So, how to use the DC resistance tester to measure the motor resistance? This article will answer that question in detail.

First,VMIVME-3413  before the motor resistance measurement, it is necessary to pay attention to the following preparations:

1. Choose the right DC resistance tester: Choose the right DC resistance tester according to the rated voltage and rated current of the motor to ensure the accuracy of the measurement results.

2. VMIVME-3413  Disconnect the power supply: Before measuring, it is necessary to ensure that the motor has been completely powered off and cut off the connection with the power supply to avoid electric shock accidents.

3. Check the motor status: check whether the motor is damaged, short circuit or poor contact, such as abnormal conditions, need to be repaired first.

Two, DC resistance tester test motor resistance steps are as follows:

1. VMIVME-3413 Connect the test line: Connect the test line of the DC resistance tester (usually red and black) to the two leading terminals of the motor respectively. It should be noted that the connection of the test line should be firm and reliable to avoid poor contact or short circuit.

2. VMIVME-3413 Set test parameters: According to the rated voltage and rated current of the motor, set the test parameters of the DC resistance tester. These parameters usually include test current, test time, etc. When selecting the test current, a moderate value should be selected to ensure measurement accuracy without causing damage to the motor.

3. Start the test: press the start button of the DC resistance tester to start the test. During the test, the tester will automatically output the test current and measure the resistance value of the motor. After the test is completed, the tester will display the measurement results.

4. VMIVME-3413 Record data: record test results, including the resistance value of the motor, test current, test time, etc. These data are very helpful for subsequent motor performance evaluation and analysis.

Three, need to pay attention to some matters:

1. Ensure safety: In the measurement process, be sure to ensure personal safety and equipment safety. When connecting the test line, ensure that the power supply is completely disconnected to avoid electric shock.

2. Select the appropriate test current: The selection of the test current should be moderate, which can ensure the measurement accuracy and will not cause damage to the motor. Excessive test current may result in motor damage or inaccurate measurement results.

3. Avoid interference: During the test, try to avoid external interference, such as electromagnetic field, temperature change, etc. These factors may affect the measurement results.
